Worst beating (in a kayak) ever had:
Last spring I pitoned a 35-footer in Washington. The
end result was one messed up boat, a cracked anklebone,
and two severely sprained ankles. I spent two months
with both legs in aircasts, but only one month out of
my boat.
If you could paddle anywhere in the world, where would
it be next:
I know that somewhere out there is a bigger version
of the Slave. Bigger rapids, bigger waves, bigger holes.
I want to go there and push the limits of kayaking.
Other hobbies & interests, other than paddling:
When Im not paddling, Im usually filming
my friends kayaking or Im driving to the next
river. I also enjoy snowboarding, drinking, hockey,
climbing, and partying.
A day in the life: Whats a day of paddling look
like?
I usually wake up with the sun, open the car door, and
step on whoever is sleeping next to the car. Chances
are, that were sleeping at the put-in of our next
adventure. Ill start eating PB&J sandwiches
until the rest of the EP crew wakes up. Well all
don our gear and hit the water. Typically we paddle
all day, and then drag ourselves back to the car. After
a big meal of burritos we all hop into the Suby, and
drive through the night to the next put-in, only to
repeat the process.
If you could get on one female kayaker, who would the
lucky lady be?
God put me on this earth for all the ladies. It would
be a shame to pick just one.
