Worst
beating (in a kayak) ever had: I had only paddled
through Sweet’s falls when the water was about
2,000 CFS. We finally got about 6,000 out of the dam
plus about 4 or 5 grand out of the Meadow Creek. I dropped
into the seam on the right hand side as usual but instead
of a seam there was a 10 foot crashing lateral leading
into one of the biggest and most violent holes I have
ever seen. I got thrashed around head over heels for
about two minuets before I was able to ender my way
out. Holding on to my paddle was like holding the strap
on a bucking bull, one handed!
If you could paddle any where in the world,
where would it be next: I would love to explore
the mountains of Guatemala and Venezuela. I got a small
taste of what Centro had to offer this fall when we
paddled Costa Rica and Panama and now all I want to
do is go back.
Other hobbies & interests, other than paddling:
I surf almost every day that we aren’t kayaking.
Snowboarding is fun too but a bit too hard on my wallet!
A
day in the life: What’s a day of paddling look
like? I call a bunch of friends and there are
usually a few who want to go. We usually take a while
to get ready but when we are out on the river it’s
on. Wether the EP crew is creekin’ or playin’
we always have a wicked session and go home with big
smiles!
