In fact, Bomber Gear founder Rick Franken drew on his experience working with top surf apparel designers before adding a few paddling-specific innovations of his own. The trick is to use the right neoprene for the right job with the correct thickness and pliability for optimum performance. Luckily, at Bomber Gear, we’ve figured out all of that for you.

Super Stretch Neoprene – This is a premium 4-way stretch neoprene that conforms to the body, providing a snug fit without binding or constricting movement. Known for it’s warmth and flexibility

Polyester Spandex Blend – Used for our shorts, this neoprene features a Polyester and Spandex outer layer that dries quickly and offers a smooth hand and total flexibility.

Sub-Screened Neoprene – Uses advanced screening technology to enhance waterproofness and durability. Made from Teflon-based ink, the screen is injected into the pores of the neoprene. Sub-Screen is a permanent waterproof treatment that will never wear off, even under extreme the most conditions

Toughtex Neoprene - The seat and knees of our neoprene apparel feature a tough, highly abrasive proprietary fabric instead of Lycra on the outer-most layer, making the combination an extremely durable material.

Thermal Conducting Neoprene - Used on our Creek Mitts, this heat absorbent neoprene will maintain its temperature even after the heat source has been removed. This keeps hands warm even if the mitts are removed and replaced frequently.
